Silence
This card is truly silent running. Replaced a dell built in graphics chip. This Asus card runs faster and cleaner. The half height of the card made it fit into the small dell box with no problem. Installation was smooth with no problems. Only one reboot was required.

Okay Card, But Dual-Monitor Only!
Platform notes: WinXP w SP’s, 3.2 GHz dual-core Intel processor, Intel MB, 4GB RAM, Asus VE246 and LG Flatron monitors. Graphics, audio recording, multi-media, some intensive gaming. Nice enough graphic performance at this price level, but don’t let the three-port thing fool you–this card can only handle two monitors at a time. This is of course a fanless card, so installation is relatively easy–just a bit bulky if your slots are packed in close. But the drivers…another matter entirely. It overwrites all your sound settings, basically disabling your sound card. (An xFi on my case.) That takes a lot of fiddling to sort out…still working on it. The VGA driver disc was corrupt and unuseable, so a download from the net was required. The HDMI port is a very finicky match for Asus’ VE246 monitor oddly enough, and getting that to work at all is still in progress.nVidia’s Control Panel app also comes with the download, and it’s quite nice for fine-tuning the card for each monitor. nVidia support…you have to sign up for a usergroup on a fairly buggy webpage, as well as provide some demographic data…had to email the company to kick-start my activation email. In sum…nice card once you get it working, but keep in mind you won’t run a multi-monitor setup…strictly dual-monitor. And plan on spending some time to get all the software issues straightened out.
