It also contains the drivers for your hardware.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2: Remove internal packaging<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check the glass side of your new PC, there may be packaging inside you will need to remove before powering on. Simply twist off the four screws at holding the glass panel, remove the panel carefully, remove any packaging from inside, and replace the panel and screws \u2013 hand tightening is fine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3: Plug in the power cable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"173\" height=\"170\" src=\"https:\/\/untangleit.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PSU.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9785\" style=\"width:337px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the PC is free from its packaging, locate the power cable supplied and plug each end into its correct socket; one in the PC and one in the wall. Make sure that the cable is fully inserted and flush against the PC. Leave the On\/Off switch off for now! (I = On, O = Off)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4: Connect ethernet cable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"67\" height=\"64\" src=\"https:\/\/untangleit.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/EthernetPort.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9783\" style=\"width:165px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of our systems come supplied with either onboard WiFi, or with preinstalled USB WiFi adapters \u2013 but If your system doesn\u2019t have a WiFi connection, or if your PC is close enough to the router, you can still connect to the Internet by plugging in an Ethernet Cable into the Ethernet socket located on the back of the computer, and the other end into your router.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if you have a WiFi connection, if you are close enough to your router to have a wired connection it will almost always be faster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5: Connect your monitor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"193\" height=\"73\" src=\"https:\/\/untangleit.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/GraphicsCardPorts.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9784\" style=\"width:447px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next stage is to connect a monitor. Locate the connection cable and plug one end into the back of the screen, and the other into the correct port at the back of your PC. This will likely be HDMI \u2013 but if you are using multiple monitors you may need to use DVI or DisplayPort cables or adapters as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:\u00a0<\/strong>If your computer has a dedicated graphics card, ensure you connect the monitor to the output on the graphics card and not the outputs on the motherboard (close to the USB ports).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6: Connect keyboard &amp; mouse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"128\" height=\"59\" src=\"https:\/\/untangleit.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/USBPorts.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9788\" style=\"width:232px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now it is time to connect a keyboard and mouse. To do so, plug each cable (or Bluetooth dongle if that is what they use) into a spare USB port at the back of the PC.<br><br>Although your computer has front and rear USB ports, it is always preferable to use the rear ports where possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Tip:\u00a0Most keyboards and mice are USB 1.1 or 2.0 devices so it\u2019s best to connect these to black coloured USB ports. The blue coloured ports are USB 3.0 ports and will benefit other devices more.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7: Connect Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are using external speakers, connect them to the green 3.5mm port at the rear of the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have one, you can also plug a microphone into the red 3.5mm port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there is an Optical Port this can be used to connect to a soundbar, TV or similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8: Flip the switch!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flip the rear On\/Off switch to \u201cOn\u201d (or \u201cI\u201d). Turn on your monitor, and then you are ready to power on your new PC! You will find the power button on the front of the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your PC should now boot up \u2013 if it doesn\u2019t, don\u2019t worry &#8211; continue on to Troubleshooting!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-troubleshooting\"><strong>Troubleshooting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>My PC will not turn on at all!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please check the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure the <strong>power cable<\/strong> is firmly plugged into the back of the PC and into a working wall socket or power strip.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are using a power strip or surge protector, ensure it is <strong>switched on<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the <strong>power switch on the back of the PC<\/strong> (near the power cable). This must be set to <strong>ON ( I )<\/strong>, not <strong>OFF ( O )<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>power button on the front<\/strong> of the PC and hold it for 1\u20132 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there are <strong>no lights, no fans, and no sound<\/strong>, try a different wall socket or power cable if available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The PC turns on, but nothing appears on the screen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is very common during first setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Check the display connection:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure the <strong>monitor is turned on<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the <strong>video cable (HDMI \/ DisplayPort)<\/strong> is firmly connected at both ends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the cable is plugged into the <strong>graphics output on the PC<\/strong>, not the wrong port.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udca1 If your PC has a graphics card, the cable <strong>must be connected to the graphics card ports<\/strong>, not the ports higher up on the motherboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The monitor says \u201cNo Signal\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Try the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the monitor\u2019s buttons to check that the <strong>correct input source<\/strong> (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) is selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disconnect and reconnect the video cable at both ends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If possible, try a <strong>different cable<\/strong> or a different port on the PC or monitor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The PC turns on, but there is still no display<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure <strong>all internal packaging<\/strong> has been removed from inside the PC case (such as protective foam).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn the PC off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your keyboard or mouse lights up but there is no display, this usually means the issue is related to the <strong>screen connection<\/strong>, not the PC itself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I hear the fans, but nothing happens on screen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This usually indicates a display setup issue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Double-check the monitor input selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the cable is connected to the correct graphics output.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try connecting the PC to a <strong>different monitor or TV<\/strong> if available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>My keyboard or mouse is not working<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure they are plugged into the <strong>USB ports<\/strong> at the back of the PC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try a different USB port.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If using wireless devices, check that batteries are installed and the USB receiver is connected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>When should I contact support?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please <a
