100% RAM compatibility

First up, this is a brilliant well made professional bit of engineering.I installed this after owning an All in One liquid cooler which died resulting in CPU temps of 95 – 102 degrees (centigrade!). I had never installed a heat sink before so was a bit nervous but the instructions were clear and I’m moderately confident with components in general having swapped out things like fans and PCIe cards before.build quality is excellent, nothing felt light or cheap. Even the rubber corners on the fan feel like premium silicone. It comes with all of the parts you could possibly need including thermal compound, mounting brackets even a screwdriver.CPU idle temperatures are now a stable and reasonable 34 degrees (in a hot flat that’s 28 degrees itself.), under load – rendering or gaming it gets up to about 65 which is still perfectly safe and acceptable. Its easily comparable to within about 5 degrees of when I had a working AIO liquid cooler.It is as close to silent as I’ve ever heard (or not heard) before. Unless you’re right next to it in a quiet room, to all intents and purposes it is utterly silent. Although as it ages I expect that to change.Even though its a smaller model – it is still quite large so getting it into a small case like mine will present a bit of a challenge and result in some scraped knuckles and swearing.In case it helps anyone, this is my case and it fit with 4 full size RAM sticks, two roof fans and a big GPU in the top slot. (Just)CORSAIR CARBIDE SERIES™ 275Q QUIET CASE.In short – its a good investment. Why would you get a cheaper one that might not work as well sitting on a potentially £700 CPU.

Superb air cooler for smaller cases.I prefer air coolers of water coolers, as although high end air coolers cost around the same as lower end water cooling systems they perform better, take less setup time and have less maintenance and less things to go wrong.I purchased a more compact ATX case in the form of the Corsair Carbide 400C and so needed a cooler which wasn’t too deep and also wouldn’t obstruct my memory slots due to me purchasing standard height memory.This air cooler met all my needs, it fit perfectly allowing plenty of space between it and the side window, and also not obstructing my memory slots. Cooling performance wise it is also superb, although I did replace the included fan with two of the same style but black industrial units to fit my colour scheme. Running desktop apps and web browsing on my 6700k (4.6Ghz) it idles at around 27-30 degrees celsius, and under load it averages around 40-43 with it never getting above 45 degrees celsius.Noise level wise it is also superb, and is barely audible while doing everyday tasks, and only when under heavy load with the fans hitting 70%+ speed do they become noticeable, and even then in a well insulated case is very acceptable and much quieter than stock case fans I have had in the past.The installation was very simple, and although it has a back brace to be installed it really is very simple and comes with the tools to do the job. It uses a spring system on the screws to ensure that you get it tight enough, without over-tightening the screws which is neat.Aesthetically I find it fits my build nicely, now that I replaced the fan with the black model, and the cable sleeves held blend the wire when you pass it around the outer fan.Overall the build quality, and performance this fan offers really is top notch, and by simply adding a second fan it performs almost on par with the highest performing air cooler albeit with a much smaller space requirement.Highly impressed, would definitely recommend.

I replaced a stock Wraith Spire on my Ryzen 5 2600X with this cooler and I am very impressed. The stock cooler was fine, but this one is just a cut above; it’s silent and keeps temperatures well down (Idles in the low 40ºC range, peaks at around 79-80ºC under sustained load with an all-core 4GHz stable clock and is still extremely quiet).Installation was a breeze. I was considering this or the beQuiet Dark Rock Slim/Shadow which was advertised cheaper. I have some 120 mm Be Quiet fans in another system and I was happy with their performance and noise, but the reviews about the problems with mounting that cooler put me off and convinced me to shell out for the Noctua. I am very glad I did. Instructions are easy and it takes only a few minutes to install. A tube of thermal paste and a long handled screwdriver bit are included to enable you to easily fit it, meaning you don’t need any additional tools at all to do it.I have mine installed on an ASrock B450 Pro 4 and there is *just* enough clearance in front of the fan from the first DIMM slot. You can also fit the fan slightly higher up on the cooler if you need to, meaning you won’t have any RAM clearance issues. For most people running only 2 DIMMS for the better performance, the cooler is *well clear* of the slots I am using (see photo).It’s likely overkill for a 2600X, but I love the silence and low temps.

Buenísimo! Mejor compra no pude haber hecho.
Siempre escuché la buena reputación de Noctua, pero estoy sorprendido. De entrada, el producto llega super bien empacado, y en la caja encuentras absolutamente todo para instalarlo: instructivos para cada tipo de socket, tornillería, brackets, pasta térmica, llave y desarmador, hules anti-vibración de repuesto, y más. No necesitas NADA más. La instalación se realizó en 15 mins siguiendo el instructivo para mi LGA1151. Una vez encendido el equipo, me sorpendí mas: es real que no hacen absolutamente nada de ruido. Hasta cierto punto creí que algo había conectado mal, porque es sumamente silencioso. Modifiqué la curva del ventilador, y aún así estando al 100% es imperceptible. Finalmente, el funcionamiento fue esperado: 20°C menos que el cooler anterior (tengo un i5-9600k, el cooler que usaba antes era el stock de un i3-9100f).
